About this Event
GUNNZO is excited to present the "two-faced show”, a group exhibit centered around individual artist’s interpretation of what it is to be two-faced. We’ll be introducing a collection of both 2D and 3D works, including custom sculpted and painted "Two-Faced Hazel" vinyl toys, along with a range of multi-dimensional paintings and drawings by more than 40 artists from all over the world. Come and gaze into their mysterious hidden faces, then, perhaps meet some of the artists behind them at the opening reception on Saturday, October 13th from 5-9pm. Enjoy an evening of art, tacos and desserts. Including ice cream provided by Seaport Village Ben & Jerry’s. To sign up for the preview list, email show@gunnzo.com please include ‘two-faced preview list’ in the subject line. Online sales start on gunnzo.com 10/13 after the opening reception. Running October 13th to November 1st 2012 Retailer of designer urban vinyl toys, artwork, printed items, posters, etc... Located in Old Town San Diego. Jerome Lu was born in Mountain View and raised in the Bay Area by a family of wild monkeys. Even when he was a small chimp, they could see that he believed every crayon in the box had magical powers, and he would transform blank pages into colorful, fantastic worlds filled with monkeys, ninjas, robots and all his craziest dreams. His wild monkey relations soon recognized his artistic talent and nurtured it with a diet of Skittles and Corn Nuts. They made sure his art education included Saturday morning cartoons and ABC After School Specials. Now that Jerome has grown up to be a big monkey, they are quite proud that his childhood creativity has never diminished. In fact, it has grown, and he is working on his biggest art project to date: constructing a 20-story ultimate monkey ninja robot.
