About this Event
GUNNZO is excited to present the "two-faced show”, a group exhibit centered around individual artist’s interpretation of what it is to be two-faced. We’ll be introducing a collection of both 2D and 3D works, including custom sculpted and painted "Two-Faced Hazel" vinyl toys, along with a range of multi-dimensional paintings and drawings by more than 40 artists from all over the world. Come and gaze into their mysterious hidden faces, then, perhaps meet some of the artists behind them at the opening reception on Saturday, October 13th from 5-9pm. Enjoy an evening of art, tacos and desserts. Including ice cream provided by Seaport Village Ben & Jerry’s. To sign up for the preview list, email show@gunnzo.com please include ‘two-faced preview list’ in the subject line. Online sales start on gunnzo.com 10/13 after the opening reception. Running October 13th to November 1st 2012 Task One, also known as Daniel Rowley, was a prominent figure in the designer toy and street art communities. His work seamlessly blended graffiti aesthetics with pop culture references, resulting in unique and thought-provoking pieces. Task One’s creations were characterized by their intricate details and innovative use of materials. He was renowned for customizing vinyl figures, particularly the Dunny platform by Kidrobot, transforming them into elaborate art pieces that often incorporated elements of urban life and satire. Daniel Rowley passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire artists and collectors alike. His work remains a testament to the fusion of street art and designer toys, pushing the boundaries of both mediums. Retailer of designer urban vinyl toys, artwork, printed items, posters, etc...
