About this Platform

The toy is based on a rabbit figure with distinctive tubular ears. The origin of the name Dunny came from a combination of street slang and one of the early "Devil Bunny" prototypes. The Dunny is sold in four sizes - 3", 5", 8" and 20". The toy has three points of articulation; a 360 degree rotational head and two arms. An artist card or sticker is also included with the 3" Dunny from a series. Most 3" Dunnys and some 8" Dunnys are normally sold as "blind assortment"; the figure is packaged inside a sealed foil wrapper, such that the buyer is not able to see which figure and accessories they are buying. Sealing the figure prevents people from opening and peeking in the boxes and buying only the figures they want. Most Dunnys are packaged inside a clear plastic bag in addition to the foil wrapper. In the second-hand market, this assures the buyer that the article was never on display and is in a "new" condition. With the success of vinyl toys as a medium for expression, many fans and artists have put their own design onto blank Dunnys. Everybody get ready because the big boys have come to play! Joining forces for the first of many Dunny series Ian ‘Nugglife’ Ziobrowski and I today bring you our Smash Bros set! A 6 piece one of a kind blind box release where we have taken 3 of the most iconic Mario Brothers characters and given them our own original spin! I used my ‘Codename Unknown’ style and clean lines to reinvent each of the main characters and Ian has used his quirky sinister tone and incredible painting technique to recreate them within his own artistic universe! People may have seen a teaser for these at NYCC this past month but with Sandy crashing into New York setting Ian back we have been somewhat delayed in releasing these but they are now set to drop and we couldn’t be happier! Each blind box will be $100 and come with a custom box included! As mentioned earlier this is just the first of many series that the two of us will be working on together to strap in and wait for more craziness! The NUGGLIFE story has it’s humble beginnings rooted in New York City back in 2004. Two goons stumbled across the meaning of life over a blunt in the front steps of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Going together like weed and a dutchmaster, they put forth the framework for what would eventually become the NUGGLIFE brand, featuring an ever-expanding cast of characters inspired by the degenerates they grew up with. Influenced by their home of New York, these longtime buds created NUGGLIFE, a cannabis inspired lifestyle brand that focused on cut & sew clothing, custom vinyl collectables, and commission artwork. Starting off with custom collectables, Ian Ziobrowski carved a name for himself in the toy community, garnishing a wide range of awards highlighting his skills. Zachary Hirsch crafted the design side, by coming up with a concept that focused on all things cannabis without ever having to show a single weed leaf. The goal was to create a streetwear brand that matched the quality, craft, and attention to detail of the toy line. Another day, another hustle.
