About this Venue
In the beginning, Redefine was one of Orlando’s first galleries dedicated 100% to Street, Urban, and Contemporary Art. Redefine Gallery has since departed from Magnolia Ave, and found a new happy home on Orange Ave & Pine Street and has a new partner in Management. Still founded and co-managed by Peter Van Flores, new partner Steve Parker takes an equally big role by becoming not only the co-manager but also the person who will put the new location over the top with his ideas for more diverse and themed showings. Though (in floor space) Redefine is much smaller now, in audience it is about 500% larger. Now part of the famous Orlando CityArts Factory building, the new space is open 5 days a week including the traditional 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop. You can now expect Art, Installations, and Murals by not only top notch local artists but now also by nationally recognized and traveling artists as well. In efforts to inspire viewers and creators on the spot, Redefine also carries a small run of top quality Urban Art Supples such as; Molotow, Ironlak, Molotow, On The Run, and Montana available in a variation of Spray Paint, Markers, & Inks. The toy is based on a rabbit figure with distinctive tubular ears. The origin of the name Dunny came from a combination of street slang and one of the early "Devil Bunny" prototypes. The Dunny is sold in four sizes - 3", 5", 8" and 20". The toy has three points of articulation; a 360 degree rotational head and two arms. An artist card or sticker is also included with the 3" Dunny from a series. Most 3" Dunnys and some 8" Dunnys are normally sold as "blind assortment"; the figure is packaged inside a sealed foil wrapper, such that the buyer is not able to see which figure and accessories they are buying. Sealing the figure prevents people from opening and peeking in the boxes and buying only the figures they want. Most Dunnys are packaged inside a clear plastic bag in addition to the foil wrapper. In the second-hand market, this assures the buyer that the article was never on display and is in a "new" condition. With the success of vinyl toys as a medium for expression, many fans and artists have put their own design onto blank Dunnys. More Than Sunshine have been hard at work curating a new toy show, Toy Burst at Redefine Gallery in Orlando, Florida. There will be all types of toys, including, vinyl, resin, and even plush toys. They’ve invited artists from all around the world to participate, who include: Pez, Miss Zukie, Manny X, 2BitHack, Boy Kong, Flat Bonnie, Kevin Herdeman, Alex Yanes, Mark Nagata, Registered Artist, Crummy Gummy, Ian Ziobrowski, Cash Cannon, Respect, Broken Pigeon, Flaw Toys, Col Wallnuts, Chris Reason, Marlene “Barbie” Varela, Jennipho, Will Gay, Patrick Wong, Mathew Curran, Michael Banks, Tasha Zimich, Wolfrich, Christobar, Kittens of Industry, Ivan Roque, Sover, and Bryan Collins.
