About this Venue

In the beginning, Redefine was one of Orlando’s first galleries dedicated 100% to Street, Urban, and Contemporary Art. Redefine Gallery has since departed from Magnolia Ave, and found a new happy home on Orange Ave & Pine Street and has a new partner in Management. Still founded and co-managed by Peter Van Flores, new partner Steve Parker takes an equally big role by becoming not only the co-manager but also the person who will put the new location over the top with his ideas for more diverse and themed showings. Though (in floor space) Redefine is much smaller now, in audience it is about 500% larger. Now part of the famous Orlando CityArts Factory building, the new space is open 5 days a week including the traditional 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop. You can now expect Art, Installations, and Murals by not only top notch local artists but now also by nationally recognized and traveling artists as well. In efforts to inspire viewers and creators on the spot, Redefine also carries a small run of top quality Urban Art Supples such as; Molotow, Ironlak, Molotow, On The Run, and Montana available in a variation of Spray Paint, Markers, & Inks. MP Gautheron is a French artist renowned for her vibrant and intricate paintings, sculptures, and custom art toys. Based in Rennes, France, she has been immersed in art from a young age, influenced by her mother, an art professor and painter. This early exposure led her to pursue formal studies in graphical design and plastic arts in Paris, culminating in a Master’s degree in plastic art/illustration. Gautheron’s artistic universe blends elements of skulls, animals, nature, and intricate patterns. Her work often explores the natural process of death, aiming to help viewers accept it by embellishing and reinterpreting its imagery. She employs a mix of realistic depictions and fantastical configurations to tell stories, frequently using bold colors to infuse life into her subjects. KAWS’ Companion is one of the most iconic figures created by the artist Brian Donnelly, known as KAWS. The Companion character features a cartoon-like figure with a skull-shaped head, crossed-out eyes, and gloved hands, resembling classic animation characters but with a distinct melancholic and introspective expression. Since its debut in the late 1990s, Companion has been released in various forms, including vinyl toys, large-scale sculptures, and limited-edition collaborations. The character is often depicted in different poses, such as covering its face in distress, reclining, floating, or standing tall, reflecting themes of isolation, vulnerability, and contemplation.
