This collection serves as a testament to the gallery’s deep-rooted connection to the designer toy movement and its commitment to preserving and celebrating this unique art form.The (In)action Figure Show," a group art toy custom show focused on elevating the traditional action figure form, will have it's opening reception on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 from 6pm until 9pm at The Clutter Gallery, 163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508. The exhibition will be available for viewing through February 2nd, 2013 and on www.cluttermagazine.com, where pieces from the show will be available for purchase. Participating artists include: 2bitHACK, 4 the Luv of Toyz NY (Cash Cannon), BigManToys, Brutherford, ButcherBrand, Danny Frankenstein, The Disarticulators (Tru:Tek, Zectron & BigManToys), Eric Nilla, From the Styx Toys, Fuei Shokai, Galaxxor (Ben Spencer), Josh Longo, Healeymade, Killer Bootlegs, L'amour Supreme, ManOrMonster?, MonsterPants, October Toys, Ron English, Scott Wilkowski x Sucklord and Triclops Studio. Brandon Michael Barker is an artist and writer living in West Lafayette, Indiana, a fact that he sincerely requests not be counted against his character. He's a really nice guy. Really. He is owner of ManOrMonster? Studios and the creator of WARLORDS OF WOR. He likes odd toys, bad movies, good comics and hair metal. He lives contentedly with his wife and his dogs in a house with a yard that desperately requires some professional help. Brought up in the early 80s on a healthy diet of action cartoons and superhero comics, he developed an early fascination with heroism and myth in the modern age; themes he continues to explore throughout his art, while maintaing in it a fair amount of nostalgic charm and whimsy.
