Description
For me personally, CITY POP is a theme about individuality and confidence, but also a kind of nostalgia and emotional pain. I’ve tried to create my own image of this complex mood. While I like the subject matter, this is a different style to my usual one, so I had a tough time trying to incorporate this into the design as my own work. I’ve used silver and gold to express completely different personalities through color. The rainbow-colored parts both use the same material in exactly the same color. I cut out the sparkly bits one by one and glued them on. Though I was feeling distressed, like a ship being tossed around at sea, I continued to believe in the “gemstone” inside me.
