This week we've got another amazing set of artists that most of you guys have probably heard of, but if you haven't then I guess I'm doing my job. While news has been taking a bit of a back-seat to developing new code and creating new interactions for the Marketplace, I wanted to make sure I at least find time to updated our Featured Artists. Maybe in some miracle future I will have an extra 4-5 hours a day to do this, or if we revamp the code we can bring on other bloggers who like writing. Anyway, on to our featured artists:

Featured for Designer Toys: Brian Flynn

When I started collecting Dunnys were my gateway toy of choice, and I really didn't stumble upon Kaiju toys until much later. According to our site Brian is responsible for creating over 25 platforms including fan favorites: Mummy Boy, Stomp, Fenton and Milton. He is also the man behind Super7 which produces toys by a variety of other great artists. They just dropped Sunburnt Little Prick & Early Morning Garuru yesterday and they've been releasing some pretty cool hints around the toy blogs about what's coming soon. Featured for Custom Toys: Ferg

Ferg has now had two shows featuring custom Squadt's and I still haven't been able to get my hands on one. His latest show Trigger featured some amazing work from both him and Brandt Peters, who collaborated to create the amazing Trouble Boys figure. Thankfully, I've been fortunate enough to at least grab one of those guys. Another big shout out personally to Ferg for helping us out a bunch while we were in Beta months ago, and sending us product images of his stuff along with pieces from Jamungo. Featured for Art Prints: Mike Mitchell

Mike might be most famous for his 'I'm with Coco' designs that seemed to flood my facebook feed for weeks, and then Conan purchased the rights to use on his comedy tour after that whole Tonight Show debacle. Most recently I picked up one of his amazing Adventure Time prints from Mondo, and he's always my favorite artists to look out for when Gallery 1988 has a themed show. I'm not sure yet but I'm hoping he has a print available for the Adult Swim show opening tonight. Featured for Original Art: Andy Kehoe

Again the featured artist for 'Original Art' happens to be someone I only discovered after I stumbled around inside the site. One of our members, itsa_mia, is apparently a big fan considering they've put in over 160 pieces of his work. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you have the budget for some original paintings ... for now I'll have to double check which of his pieces are available as prints.
