We were totally captivated when we first saw some work-in-progress shots of this wonderful project by Jed Henry. What were sketches a few months ago are now a full dozen designs for a series titled Ukiyo-e Heroes that takes modern Japanese video game characters to their classical ukiyo-e style roots. This project is stunningly beautiful, creative both in its concept and execution, and filled with sweet and powerful nostalgia… and obviously, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Since launching his project on Kickstarter on July 31st with the goal of just over $10k, Jed has amassed nearly 900 backers (myself among them) and over $100K in pledges. Watch the video, read what he has to say, give him money, and reap the sweet rewards of contributing to an amazing project.
