About this Event

Hero Complex Gallery is proud to announce our exhibition for May 3, 2013, "Righteous Rides...And the Dudes Who Drive Them!", a show focusing on prominent characters of fiction and their often creative ways of getting around. From skateboards to spaceships, anything that rolls, races, flies, or crashes can be counted in this high-throttled, tour de force that celebrates your favorite modes of transportation and the characters who drive them! Millennium Falcon, Akira, Steve McQueen, Aliens APC, Ferris Bueller, Pussywagon, Prometheus, James Bond, The Nautilus, NASA...basically anything you can think of that takes place in and around your favorite modes of moving from once place to another.I'm an italian based artist working for several brands (Foot Locker, MTV, Warner Bros., Vibe Magazine, Emirates, Sony Pictures, Kinder Ferrero, Virgin Atlantic, G+J/Mondadori, Gruppo L’Espresso, Saldapress). The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas. Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as silkscreen, seriography, and serigraph. We work with artists studios and game companies to design custom posters and collectibles for collectors and partners
