This month has been Toy Art Gallery's first full year in it's new location on Melrose, and to celebrate they've invited 50+ artists to create exclusive editions, one-of-a-kind custom toys and works of art, limited edition apparel, and more. The 'TAG Anniversary Show' will open it's doors Saturday 9/15 starting at 7pm and it will run until 10pm. Those that attended the 2011 SDCC and went to the Super7 booth were able to view a plethora of prototypes for the manufacturers 2012 release schedule; the Rose Vampire Casket Cruiser was one of those insightful sneak peaks. The next evolution of Josh Herbolsheimer's platform Rose Vampire, the initial outing for the Casket Cruiser is entitled the "Green Hell on Wheels" and will be released on January 26th by Super7 (simultaneous release in store and online at super7store.com). Retailing for $65, this 4" tall figure is cast in black vinyl with red, green, metallic green, light green, silver, and yellow details. While the wheels on the Casket Cruiser work, there is — alas — no pullback motor built into the design.... [ read more ]
