Background:
he Octopus Tree House was formed in 2011 by the artists Paul Petyo and Jessica Weiss. With various backgrounds in comics and writing these two artists have come together to produce illustrations that can be appreciated by all ages.
Paul is a graduate of The Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland where he primarily studied Photography. Born and raised in the area, he has produced various works in both illustration and photography over the years and has had his work shown in galleries local to Maryland. His artwork primarily takes a dark and often times disturbing outlook on the world with illustrations appearing in comics like Dead Future and Grim Furry Tales. After meeting Jess, his work was changed forever.
Jess is a graduate from Full Sail University in Florida. Born and raised in the Maryland area, she followed her passion of live show production. She is both the inspiration and driving force behind the Tree House. As writer, dreamer and creative director for all the work the team creates it's her vision that ultimately brings the work to life.
