Unifying Profiles

Okay so when I first started an account on Trampt I got a User Profile.
Then somewhere along the way someone created an artist profile for me.
Is there no way to unify the two? I know that they are linked, but for example they get seperate notifications and the two profiles have seperate followers. It would certainly be a lot easier if I had one profile instead...?

There is currently no way to unify profiles.... and sorry to say Abe, but this is unlikely to happen anytime soon. The site was designed from the ground up with this structure and there is actually quite a number of reasons for it. The most basic reason is that quite a few people own multiple artist and/or manufacturer profiles, and this system allows them to manage these brands separately. Also, there are cases of 2 or more artists that are linked to the same "artist" profile because they operate under one moniker (i.e. supergroups, small companies, collaborations, etc). We may at some point allow artists to simply the workflow a bit by perhaps being able to hide their user account, for example.

keegan a Like Blake said, if an artist also runs their own manufacturing company than we can't link one user to two portfolios. Especially if someone wants to talk on behalf of themselves as an artist or as the Manufacturer. almost 12 years ago
