Scott Wilkowski infects the Giant Robot Biennal 3 ShowCustom edition of 30 Red Flatwood Monsters
Scott Wilkowski has created a new edition of Infected figures ... producing a 30 piece run of Infected Flatwood Monsters in a new Red colorway after releasing a Green & Brown version of the Flatwoods Monster figure for SDCC 2012. This edition is part of the 'Giant Robot Biennale 3' produced by Giant Robot. A single copy of the new colorway will be on display at the exhibit, while the remainder of the edition of 30 will be available this Friday, September 21st, 2012 at 1PM PST for $150 each in the Giant Robot store giantrobot.com.... New works from Le Merde and Kiyoka IkedaMisty Fog’s Combat Rock at Giant Robot LA on 9/29
With the Giant Robot Biennale 3 going on this coming weekend there hasn't been much talk yet about their show the following week featuring new work from Le Merde and Kiyoka Ikeda of the kaiju toy company Gargamel. This exhibit will focus on Le Merde’s Misty Fog line of figures. New items will include: New T-shirt, New Beer Koozie, 4 new Coaster prints. 4 color art pieces and various customs of the new sculpts. Also scheduled is a new figure release. An opening reception for Le Merde will take place from 6:30 – 10:00 PM on Saturday, September 29th. For more info and directions visit gr2.net.... 9 peeks at the upcoming Giant Robot showGiant Robot Biennale 3 at Japanese American National Museum on 9.22
I've been dropping in a variety of customs this week for the 'Giant Robot Biennale 3' show at the Japanese American National Museum opening September 22nd. The show features 80+ artists who have customized on of David Horvath's many Uglydoll figures paired with a Giant Robot's mascot. Over the next week I'm sure the library will fill up with more customs so be sure to check back before the show opens. Not sure which artists will be on-hand at the opening, but you have until January 20th, 2013 to check out this exhibit.... [ read more ]
