Now that Blake is back from vacation and I could deploy an update to the sidebar with our new featured artists it's time to take a second and check out the work of four awesome artists. Each week we pick some artists we like who also happen to have some stuff going on this week that we think you should know about. Whether it's a new release, upcoming show, or just some cool stuff they're recently made. Anyway, on to our featured artists

Featured for Designer Toys: Jon Knox

My mom loves Jon Knox, and so do I. True story. My mom, a classically trained realist painter who disapproves of much of my favorite art and disparages poor craftsmanship with a thick and sometimes menacing Russian accent, was peeking at trampt recently and in stark contrast to my expectations couldn't stop raving about Jon Knox's graphite illustrations. It's hard not to fall in love with his sweet characters and I invite you all to take a look, but since this week we're featuring him for his contribution to the world of designer toys, allow me to switch gears. We had his first production toy, Cody, up for preview at NYCC last year and I waited by the mailbox for what seemed like forever until I finally had one of my very own. Cody's dreamy magnetic eyes and nerd-chic outfit easily make him my favorite toy of the year and I'm not the only one who feels this way, since Cody is up for a Fan Favorite at the Designer toy awards. His self-produced, handmade and hand-painted resin sculpts have been exhibited all over the world. My mom and I can't wait to see what he does next. Featured for Custom Toys: Shadoe Delgado

I've only just discovered Shadoe Delgado, but already I'm intrigued by his dark and refined style. His customs are creepy, beautiful, and meticulously sculpted. The current line of creatures, which he calls Shadow-lings, are textural, ghoulish, and totally sold out - but if you're smart and commission one of your very own, you'll find his prices to be very affordable. He's also currently running a Fan Art contest and giving away his badass art to a few lucky doodlers. I just sort of stumbled upon Reilly Stroope but I'm a huge sucker for good graphic design and I couldn't resist his clever prints. I promise to write more about him when I have more information, but for now go enjoy his "High 4" print, available in his Etsy shop, and rest easy knowing that good art needs little introduction. Featured for Original Art: Caia Koopman

They say "if you can't make it good, make it big" but if you're Caia Koopman, you can do both! Her alluring big-eyed, pouty-lipped ladies are the embodiment of strong yet elegant femininity and her paintings are widely recognized as gorgeous examples of lowbrow art. She was interviewed earlier this summer by Juxtapoz, had a studio visit from Hi-Fructose, and you may have caught her show at Thinkspace Gallery back in June, but if not, you'll soon see her featured in Art Whino's Book "Newbrow: 50 Contemporary Artists." She's been exhibited all over the world, is incredibly prolific, and even has her own Signature Series Oakley sunglasses and goggles.
