I really like these! But, I'm curious why you made their expressions so serene? A fundamental image that has stayed with me since I was a kid was this figurine/kitsch I saw in the store from a series of humor figurines about elves. Some where crushed by golf balls, others shot gun shell and another a severed hand clutching a piece of cheese attached to a sprung mouse trap. The violence of that mouse trap has stayed with me. I only wish I was able to talk my mom into buying it for me.
