We checked out Acidfree Gallery's first round of officially licensed G.I. Joe and Transformers prints at NYCC a few weeks back and they were dope. Unfortunately, while I do love Tom Whalen & Dave Perillo, I personally wasn't digging their 'cartoonish' styles when depicting something from a cartoon. I feel like their work is more compelling when they're used to stylize real-life things as caroons.
