Uncle Argh 'Noir' Mini Toyer Qee by Scott Tolleson & Tenacious Toys

I assume most of you guys have heard about this already. Benny over at Tenacious Toys has created a kickstarter campaign to fund making another colorway of Scott Tolleson's Uncle Argh Mini Toyer Qee ... Noir. This is interesting to me for two reasons, one because I was curious about how much it might cost to front an exclusive colorway down the line. Secondly, with the first figure selling out already why wouldn't Toy2r just want to front the bill for producing a second colorway?

I guess I still have a lot ot learn about how the toy industry actually works. :)

They're over half way to their goal, and since they're only making 500 you might want to hurry over and put some money down if you want one.

Go support their Kickstarter!

Bumping this because they're two weeks from the deadline and about $1,000 short.  I never picked up the original Uncle Argh and $30 shipped anywhere seems pretty fair in my book.

I agree with what the others posted, Benny is cool in my books, and I like Scott Tolleson's style … yet I'm surprised to see a project like this on kickstarter. If it was something totally new, a smaller brand or totally independent, sure.

Long term, I think preorders, no matter if over Kickstarter or the manufacturer directly are bad for the collectors scene. Sure it helps to get new projects done, but it will also stop the retailers from carrying products, which would mean they'll never be on display, and we'd loose cool stores?!?

keegan a Yeah, I think that's my conflict. Not just the platform but the design has already been produced, it was successful, and sold out. I feel like Kickstarter is helping fund a 'ground up' project. I still wish Benny & Scott the best with it though. :) about 12 years ago

I for one will support Benny on this regardless of why Toy2R is not making it on their own.  Benny is one of the coolest dudes I know and he supports so many artists while being so humble of himself.  He gives 110% of himself and this is just a small way to repay him back.  I don't know how many people/kickstarters/etc that Benny has helped in the past, but I think everyone should support the man with what they can.

HoodedGrub m Good on ya. :) One step closer to getting me another Uncle :) about 12 years ago

I love the original and the mono variant is looking dope. I'm suprised it didn't reach 100 % yet. I regret that I can't back it up right now but hope to score one in the future

Yeah. I supported this after I saw a post on Twitter, but the project seemed to hit 50% on the same day it was announced and seems to have flatlines a bit since. I sure hope they get more backers as I'm also keen to get me one. I also can't understand why Toy2r wouldn't automatically fund it if they sold out of the original Uncle of which we don't know how many were made, but I'm sure it was over 500.
